Baby Blanket

I just finished this strawberry shortcake blanket. A few things went wrong at first but after re-sewing all the seams I think that it turned out really really cute!

Blogs

Hey, so if you are interested in baby patterns and links check out shayla's blog minifripperyetc.blogspot.com. It is amazing. I could spend days looking at all the links and also the things that people are starting to post!

New Etsy shop

So, I love to sew and I always have extra material. I just can't bear to think that I will run out, even when I have the amount that the pattern calls for. So, I started making baby blankets a few months ago. Well, my overzealousness has caused me to sew many extra ones that I didn't need and so I opened an etsy shop. Check it out. www.amaliesarmfuls.etsy.com Tell your friends and loved ones about it.

Wall Hanging

So, I just finished the top for my Feb. wall hanging. I am making one for each month and then I am going to put them up. This one is called Box of Chocolates. I found the pattern in an awesome book called Bits and Pieces 18 small quilts from fat quaters and scraps by Karen Costello Soltys. (By the way the book is awesome. They are all small wall hangings and while I don't like them all, they are great for material you have just sitting around.) I used fabric from Connecting Thread, (which has a link on this page), from the Pink II by Buggy Barn for Henry Glass Fabrics, and one of the off-whites from the Peace on Earth collection- Moda Fabrics. When it is finished there will be off-white buttons sewn onto each one of the off white squares. It is going to be so cute!!!

Finished Quilt

So, I have been working on this quilt for about 6 months now off and on and I finally got it finished. I made it for Abby's baby. We found all the fabrics that we used for this quilt from JoAnn's. It was a little tricky to find some of the fabrics because they were hot fabrics and sold quick, but it is nice that it is done.

The beginnings

After spending hours surfing and searching the internet for material and patterns for my ongoing list of projects I have decided to keep a running list online for those that are interested in the same things I am. I hope that if you have a favorite website to add that you will let us know.
